Modern Slavery Act 2015

OPN (Office Product Network Ltd) is a British distributor of business products which are broadly produced by European and US-based suppliers/manufacturers. As a distributor we use a variety of third party logistics suppliers.

Although not obliged to make a statement, we support the principles of the Modern Slavery Act and recognise the risk of slavery within the supply chain of which we are a part.

OPN has a policy of forming close relationships with potential business partners/suppliers and manufacturers to ensure we know and understand them well and have an insight into how they carry out their business operations.  We are confident that they all share our values in terms of environmental sustainability, corporate responsibility and ethics.

With such a broad range of suppliers it is inevitable that many will produce or source products or raw materials, outside Europe and many do use production facilities in parts of the world which are in more danger of such crimes.

We ask all our manufacturers, suppliers and business partners to confirm that they take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure, at every point in their supply chain, there is no risk of people trafficking or modern slavery and that the welfare and wellbeing of its employees or those working on its behalf is of the highest standards. We will ask this on an annual basis. The choice of suppliers is influenced by the responses and risks of abuse identified within this process.

Within our own operation we adopt practices and policies that support the principles of the United Nations’ ILO (International Labour Organisation).
